We have some good overlap here even though I haven't read most of the books.
I LOVED Shield of Sparrows and I can not wait for the second book to be released.
Not a fan of the Romantasy Genre. The fantasy is usually crap and the romance is too forced and explicit at times.
I did read Fourth Wing. It is entertaining and easy to read but the fantasy is ok but not developed. The second book was annoying. Not sure if I continue but than I want to know how it ends...
I’m glad I’m not the only one who has that thought RE: romantasy. I tried to read ACOTAR but after 2.5 books, I didn’t care much about the main characters so gave up on it.
I have! I’ve read the first two books in his Cosmere series and enjoyed them. Excellent world-builder who actually writes women well (unlike Robert Jordan). I need to get back to those, maybe this winter after I’m done with holiday romances.

I have not picked up ACOTAR and I had to google. HAHa.
Give me some epic fantasy. Have you read Brandon Sanderson? I think that might be something worth my time.
