Bears & Bakeries is about Locky and Benedict. Locky is an accountant who dreams of opening his own bakery. Benedict is hired to help Locky pursue his dream, acting as his small business consultant. Can they stay just friends as they navigate the trials of starting a new endeavor?
The first two books plus special novellas for each couple are out, with book 3 and probably a book 3.5 novella out later this year.
Big Boys, Small Spaces - AJ Truman / MA Wardell
Yes, two of my favorite MM authors got together to write this series and I’m loving it. Marshmallow Mountain brings together exes - both named Marshall - to clean out their cabin prior to a sale. Then a blizzard hits, trapping them there together for a week.
Cut to a Feeling is about their neighbor in the city, Bryce, and the guy who his ex sublets their apartment to, Emerson. (The ex doesn’t bother to tell Bryce this is happening - both his leaving the relationship and subletting it.) Bryce and his dog convince Emerson to let them stay as he tries to settle into his dream job as a music history professor.
What Did I Think?
I really enjoyed all of these books, assigning different amounts of stars for tiny differences from 4 to 4.5 stars. They are all sweet and spicy with situations that are believable enough to not make me roll my eyes as they progress. I loved how the fat rep isn’t subtle, just fat people existing, but a source of each guy’s attraction to the other.
